Finishline RC Raceway – Bakersfield, CA
34790 Lencioni Ave Bakersfield, CA, US 93308
May 29-31, 2026
The stage is set for the next installment of the West Coast On Road Nationals at the world famous Finishline RC Raceway. This will be a weekend you don’t want to miss. It is sure to be one of the biggest and best on road events in the western United States this year. We will see you in Bakersfield, California in May!
WCN: Updates: 5/26/26
1) Entry list and practice round 1 heats are posted on LIVE RC. Please check for accuracy. If you do not see a transponder number for yourself, send it to me. https://tracktimehobbies.liverc.com/results/?p=view_event&id=506366
2) “We talkin’ bout practice..” We will have controlled practice rounds all day Friday, Saturday morning and Sunday morning to ensure everyone gets equal practice time throughout the weekend. Classes not needing spec tires will be up first for the most part with no back-to-back sessions for anyone so far. These will be FOUR MINUTE practice sessions for all classes with two minutes in between. We will all be expected to corner-marshal for the practice sessions following ours.
3) Qualifying: We will feature four rounds of FOUR MINUTE qualifying heats for all EXCEPT 12th scale, which will run EIGHT MINUTE qualifying heats. We will use qual-points with the best 2/4 rounds scored. The traditional tie-breaker will be used.
4) Mains: We will have FIVE MINUTE triple A Mains for the top 10 qualifiers in all classes with the best 2/3 finishes scored. The exception is 12th scale, which will feature EIGHT MINUTE triple A Mains. The traditional tie breaker will be used. We will have single FIVE MINUTE lower mains. We have podium awards for all mains (1st – 3rd) once racing has concluded Sunday.
6) Driver’s stand process: We will all put cars down and enter the driver’s stand up the ramp. However, we will all exit the stand down the stairs towards the scoring tower to retrieve our cars on driver’s left. From there, we will leave our cars and transmitters on the tables under the easy-up to corner-marshal right away. Everyone will walk around the sweeper along the fence and make their way back to the pits through the bleacher area. This will ensure efficiency and consistency throughout the weekend. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
7) Gate opening: We will shoot for 7:00AM but it could be sooner. Controlled practice should begin by 8:30 AM Friday. The track and pits are not open Thursday, we will see you on Friday.
More to come all week because it is finally race week!
We are still backfilling for full heats with paid entries. See entry list far below.

We are adding the Le Mans Hypercar Class (LMH) at 13.5T blinky on TC tires. Formula 1 looks to make a run along with our classics like 12th scale and Pro 10. See the class list below. Local asphalt drivers and many from long distances will converge at Finishline this May to have another great weekend. We hope to see everyone there. There will be many points races, open track days and club races for everyone to get reacquainted with Finishline from now until race week.

General rules and expectations: Let’s keep it simple and fair.
- Have fun! The goal of a JRRC hosted event is to have each and every driver want to come back to the next event.
- Corner-marshalling immediately after your race or by your designee is required and keep us on schedule.
- Pre-race tech inspection will be enforced for voltage, vehicle weight, ESC “Blinky” mode, and tires in appropriate classes.
- Working MyLaps 2 wire and 3 wire transponders are required to be scored.
- Please keep your pit area and the facility clean.
Etiquette and sportsmanship matters.
- Be good sports. No cussing at, yelling at or insulting others please.
- In practice and qualifying let faster cars pass quickly and as cleanly as possible. Also in mains when not racing for position. Conversely, the passing driver needs to attempt the pass without forcing contact.
- Incidents happen, drivers clearly at fault should hold off the racing line for the other car/s involved to continue. Failure to do so may result in a stop and go penalty mid-race. If instructions are not followed, it could be a loss of a lap or position in the results.
- Call-out wrecks verbally in practice and warm-up laps. If you are stopped on the track notify all other drivers on the stand if the director does not.
