2025 Valley On Road Champs

November 23, 2025 – Exeter RC Speedway

Our first annual Valley Champs went very well. We enjoyed great weather and competitive racing all day. Unfortunately, we had to reschedule our original date due to weather but most of the group still made it out. I would like to thank each of you for helping me start this new tradition in our valley. I hope to host the 2nd annual Valley On Road Champs in the fall of 2026 at a different on road track in our area. The goal is to have this annual event rotate among the awesome tracks in our valley each year.

General rules and expectations

  1. Have fun! The goal of a JRRC event is to have each and every driver want to come back to the next event.
  2. Cornermarshalling immidiately after your race or by your designee is required.
  3. Transponders are required to be scored.
  4. Please keep your pit area and the facility clean.

Etiquette and sportsmanship

  1. Have fun!
  2. Be good sports. No cussing, yelling at or insulting others.
  3. Be legal in all heats and mains: Pre-race tech inspection will be enforced for battery voltage, vehicle weight, ESC “Blinky” mode and tires in appropriate classes by Don Smith.
  4. Let clearly faster cars go by as quickly and as cleanly as possible. Conversly, the passing driver needs to attempt to pass without forcing contact. This is one of the hardest aspects to manage in RC racing, clean passing.
  5. Incidents happen, drivers clearly at fault should hold for the other car/s involved to continue. Failure to do so may result in a stop and go penalty mid-race. If instructions are not followed then it could be a loss of a lap or position in the results. It is up to us to race how we want to be raced.
  6. Call-out wrecks in practice and warm-up laps. If you are stopped on the track notify all other drivers on the stand if the director does not.
